No Thanks

Have you found the perfect Christmas present for your clients yet?

I always look forward to the weeks leading up to Christmas when the Bublé albums start playing, the number of morning teas start increasing and the supplier presents start coming in. That's right, I really do look forward to the presents. I like to see what suppliers think is the perfect acknowledgement of doing business with them is.

The usual ones are the generic bottles of wine with the preprinted cards with absolutely no personalised message on them - you might be lucky, the envelope has been hand written with your name spelt incorrectly. I gave a bottle of wine back to a supplier the following year. I kid you not, it was returned to me as a thank you a couple of months after Christmas. The reason I knew this is because I put my Initials on the bottom of the bottle.

Below is my guide to choosing the ultimate Christmas present for your clients, your staff and your suppliers:

  1. Give a personalised present don't be the one to re-give last years wine.
  2. Think about your customer - this should be a given. Don't send me a mug with your logo on it.
  3. Have you covered all bases? Allergies, beliefs, preference it all needs to be taken into consideration when choosing that perfect present.
  4. Hand write the card. Be personal it's actually still flattering to hear how much you're appreciated especially around Christmas.

My Collective would like to take the headache out of ordering presents by organising all delivery requirements, giving businesses the arm chair ride they need to focus on their core business and leave logistics to us.
